Human resource management in effort to reach high peiformance needs high work motivation to conduct the job. Work motivation gives a significant relationship in increasing employee peiformance in conducting their work. The aim ofthis research is to analyze relationship between work motivations and employee peiformance of the area secretariat Sukamara Regent and to formulate efforts that can be done to increase the work motivation as well as peiformance ofthe area secretariat Sukamara Regent. This research use descriptive method approach by surveying, and data analyzes is used rank Spearman and Kruskal Wallis. The result ofrank Spearman showed that there was a middle, significant, positive, and same direction to employee peiformance. Where as the result ofKruskal Wallis showed that there was not perceptions difftrentials among level ofposition to work motivation andpeiformance factors. The conclusion of this research, as a significant influence and positive relation between work motivation and employee peiformance. To improve work motivation can be conducted by increasing good relationship between manager and the workers, encourating then to work successfUl, providing training program, and maintaining good respansibility.
